A true "pearl" in automotive history: Enzo Ferrari's recruitment contract in Alfa Romeo. From the Alfa Romeo Historical Archive, a yet unpublished document, which grants an occasion to find out more about one of the most interesting and legendary aspects of Italian automotive history: the relationship between the House of the Biscione and Enzo Ferrari, 120 years after it began.
The future "Drake" debuted as an Alfa Romeo driver by concluding his first experience with a terrible accident. Later he became one of the race aces of his time, and even earned the emblem of another ace: the Prancing Horse which used to belong to Francesco Baracca. Driver, dealer, and a highly influential person on the top floors of the Portello, and, finally, founder of Scuderia Ferrari, which shortly after was to become the Alfa Romeo racing department. A story made of images, documents, cars, and great personalities. Told in the words of one of the greatest experts of this all-Italian story destined to make the entire world dream.
