An event promoted by the Municipality of Milan. The city fully experiences its artistic and cultural heritage for three days thanks to the participation of more than 70 art and history museums, scientific museums, museum homes, artist’s homes, and company museums, which will be open to the public with guided tours, special events, workshops for children, extraordinary opening hours, conferences.

From 1st to 3rd march 2019

Theme of the 2019 edition: Nature
 ANIMALS ON 4 WHEELS

Insects like the Scarabeo, the Carabo – a beetle with shiny metallic colours – or the Spider. But also the Iguana and the Gazzella (gazelle), all the way to the Tipo 103, which was caringly nicknamed “Pidocchio” (the louse) by its creators.

The connection between nature, the animal world, and cars is ancient and deep-rooted. Reaching far beyond the simple choice of a name, the references are to the shapes, colours, performances, or, at times, just the pure inspiration of the designer. On the occasion of MuseoCity 2019, the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo will display and tell the story of Eagle, a prototype belonging to the museum’s Historical Collection which is not normally open to visitors. It is a unique vehicle, based on the platform of the Alfetta and designed by Pininfarina. Its shapes are extremely particular, starting from the steering wheel, whose spokes are a confident and determined reference to the open wings of the noblest bird of prey.
