Original solutions developed during the First World War
The famous Romeo modello C compressor, produced in about 2000 units during the First World War and used mainly by the Italian Royal Army for the construction of trenches and fortifications, was based on an A.L.F.A. 24 HP engine mounted on an independent and portable frame. Two cylinders were engines and two more had been transformed into compressors.
