1991: the “première” of the Protéo. The name is an acronym for “Prototipo Alfa Romeo” (Alfa Romeo Prototype), but also a tribute to the Greek god Proteus who could take on any shape just like the coupé designed by the Style Centre could turn into a cabriolet. It was a true technological workshop.
