Backstage 100 Years of Touring

The collaboration between Alfa Romeo and Carrozzeria Touring can boast a century-long history: from the first bodyworks to the epic of the Superleggera berlinettas. Up until the assembly of the 33 Stradale in our day. A conference to outline the history of this bond through the cars, the people, and the events that made it come to life.
The conference is organised in collaboration with Registro Internazionale Touring Superleggera and includes a parade of Touring-bodied cars on the Museum's test track.
3.00 pm – Presentation of the book “Bruno Giacomelli.
Continuavano a chiamarmi Jack O'Malley" (Bruno Giacomelli.
They kept calling me Jack O'Malley)
Bruno Giacomelli was the captain of Alfa Romeo's return to Formula 1, and with it, he even lapped Scheckter and Villeneuve's Ferraris at Watkins Glen in 1980. His autobiography describes the years of Carlo Chiti's Autodelta, but also the events and career of a super-fast driver, the undisputed “master" of Formula 2 and witness to a fascinating era in motorsport history. The Museum will host the presentation of his book, amidst his cars.

Backstage Spider is Alfa Romeo. 60th anniversary “Duetto"

The iconic car of an era and still today one of the most adored cars by Alfa enthusiasts, the “Duetto" Spider was produced in four series from 1966 to 1994 and its allure is far from fading. The Museum will celebrate its open-top driving on the 60th anniversary of its presentation with a dedicated conference and parade.
4.30 pm – Opening of the exhibition Spider is Alfa Romeo
The Museum will dedicate an exhibition to the 60th anniversary of the “Duetto", allowing all fans to showcase their vehicles in the Museum until December. The exhibition will be divided into four stages, each dedicated to one of the vehicle's series: from April to June, the “osso di seppia" (Cuttlefish Bone); July and August will be dedicated to the “coda tronca" (Kammback); September and October to the “aerodinamica", and the rest of the year until December will feature the “IV series".

Open Bonnets.
In 2026 we renew our appointment with the weekend of Open Bonnets, where all cars in the Museum exhibition will show their engines, mechanics, and the “hearts" that live under their bodywork. A different and fascinating way to visit the Museum.

The engine is the heart of every Alfa Romeo: from Giuseppe Merosi to our day, the technology, performance, and design methods have changed. But driving pleasure is still the main priority. A conference that illustrates the main design “currents" and the peculiar traits that make the Biscione's engines absolutely unmistakable.
4.00 pm – Opening of the exhibition Alfa Romeo Racing Heart
An exhibition organised in collaboration with Museo dei Motori e dei Meccanismi (Museum of Engines and Mechanisms) of the University of Palermo, tells Alfa Romeo's story from the point of view of its engines, through the main automotive, aeronautical, marine, and industrial productions. But also the studies and prototypes that intersect with the history of this company and its people.

Alfa Romeo Day
According to tradition, on the closest weekend to 24 June, we will celebrate Alfa Romeo's anniversary with a series of initiatives dedicated to all fans.
11.00 am – Club Meeting
The usual appointment with members of Alfa Romeo Clubs from all over the world where they can share ideas, initiatives, and learn about the Museum's programmes. A point of contact between Alfa Romeo and its fans.
4.00 pm – Backstage 50th anniversary Museo Alfa Romeo. 1976-2026
A result of Alfa Romeo's vision already in the 1960s, Museo Storico Alfa Romeo was officially opened in 1976. Fifty years later, it is still the 'home' of all Alfisti and the place in which history is safeguarded, enhanced, and conveyed to future generations. A dedicated conference will trace the history, values, and challenges of Museo Alfa Romeo.

11.00 am – Conference on Franco Scaglione, 110 years from his birth
A pure talent of car design who authored some of the most important vehicles for Alfa Romeo: from the defiant BATs to the legendary 33 Stradale. A conference organised in collaboration with ASI - Automotoclub Storico Italiano, outlines the life, the work, and the heritage of a great car designer.

Backstage Alfasud Sprint

A slim and young coupé, with 'authored' bodywork, modern mechanics, and a highly respectable performance. Born as a sports version of the Alfasud, it would survive the saloon and remained in the range alongside the Alfa 33 giving life to a long evolution of designs and mechanics. A conference to explore its origins, history, and international success.

10.00 am– Open Day at the Documentation Centre
Just a few limited places for our exclusive tour of the Alfa Romeo Documentation Centre: 6000 linear metres of archives that explore Alfa Romeo's history. A journey through the documents, the restructuring, the procedures, and the many curious facts about the operations of a centre that responds to more than 10 thousand enquiries per year.
3.00 pm – Backstage Domenico Chirico's archive
One of the greats in Alfa Romeo design and his “archive", donated to the Alfa Romeo Documentation Centre by his family. A careful filing activity restored a large quantity of information, technical details, and 'backstage' moments that characterised a whole era.
