Alfa Romeo is celebrating the landing of its new model, the Giulia, on Spanish soil by displaying some historical models coming from the Museo Storico of Arese (Milan) in the capital city.

Just a few days before the anniversary of the establishment of the Alfa Romeo brand that took place on 24 June 1910, Madrid will host an exclusive exhibition of models coming directly from the Museo Storico of Arese (Milan) for the first time. From 17 to 22 June, the Complejo Duques de Pastrana (in Paseo de la Habana 208) will host Alfa Romeo's “Museo delle emozioni”  where the brand will show an overview of its 106-year history through its most memorable cars.

From the RL Targa Florio of 1924 up to the new Giulia of 2016, a project that represents the brand's values: beauty and speed have always been part of Alfa Romeo's DNA. The exhibition will boast unique models like the GP Tipo 512, one of the first single-seaters of motor racing history to rely on a mid-engine design conceived by the genius of the Spanish engineer Wifredo Ricart. Sports cars of the period before World War II will also be displayed. They are the 6C, an extraordinarily elegant car that perfectly represents the original Giulia range; the Caimano, the impressive prototype designed by Giugiaro on the Alfasud base; and the Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione IMSA with its engine boasting over 400 HP of power.

Stories, oddities and historical images with Alfa Romeo taking centre stage can all be discovered by looking at the cars on display. Museum experts will guide the visitors along a journey to discover the great tradition of Alfa Romeo through some of its most representative models. It is a legendary history, one written on the asphalt of circuits and the streets around the world.

The Alfa Romeo museum in Madrid will be open to the public on 18 and 19 June. The tour can be booked by going to the website http://www.ilmuseodelleemozioni.es (where more information on opening hours and access conditions can be found).
